Attis Bodegas y Viñedos

Nana Albariño 2018

100% Albariño coming from an organic farmed 40 year-old single vineyard, the family’s oldest one. Soils of granitic Entisoles of sandy – clayey character with north western orientation. Alcoholic spontaneous fermentation in French used oak barrel (228  and 500 Liters) and then aged on the lees in the same barrels for 12 months with batonnage. This is a limited availability wine (less than 3.000 bottles produced per vintage) displaying an exotic character and great depth with a proven ageing potential.
This is a kind of late harvest wine marked by ripe fruit and wild yeast, presenting an endless aroma andslightly off dry. The palate is filled by Dutchess pear, dried apricots, salt minerality, sunflower seed, beeswax, roasted yellow apple, orange zest and  flint. This oxidized style gives way to a long aftertaste. Nicely integrate and now, after the bottle ageing developing more tertiary notes.

The 2012 vintage gained 90 points by Wine Advocate.
