Domaine Berthenet
Bourgogne Pinot Noir

This wine comes from 1.5 hectares planted on clay and mixed granite in the Côte Chalonnaise, Southern Burgundy. Berries macerate at a cool temperature during 4 days before the beginning of the alcoholic fermentation which took place in the following 12 days. It spends 15 months, 50% in stainless steel tanks and 50% in oak casks with 15% new oak. The yearly production is round 5,000 bottles. Light but with definite Pinot flavor (bing cherry, red fruits) that finishes with tender tannins. It tastes great with a light chill as well.
