Il Tratto 2009

Castel del Monte is the main wine area in northern Puglia where Nero di Troia plays a leading role. This wine is a blend of Nero di Troia (80%) and Montepulciano (20%) coming from a small single vineyard. The two varieties are harvested and processed separately: Grapes are destemmed and macerated for 20 days with frequent pump overs. Fermented in tank and aged in French second passage oak barrique for 36 months, according to the main characteristics of the vintage, the wine is then transferred to steel tanks for other 6 months. Unfined and unfiltered. 6.600 bottles produced.
