This orange wine from Molise comes from grapes grown in our Vigne Alte vineyard located at 2460 feet above the sea level and it is made up of Trebbiano (85%) and Garganega (15%). It is an extended skin contact wine. We avoid any use of chemical products in the vineyard. After hand harvesting, the two varieties are foot trodden in a wooden vat and the must and the grapes’ skins start fermenting spontaneously without temperature control, while undergoing daily punch downs. After 12 days of maceration with the grape’s skin, we rack the wine and fermentation continues in stainless steel tanks. During the ageing process we avoid any kind of unnecessary manipulation. Minimum quantities of sulphites are added just before the bottling. This wine is vibrant, fresh and displaying a nice kick of tannins paired with good acidity. Not clarifier nor filtered.
